If you’re not familiar with Kermit Gosnell, an abortionist on trial in Philadelphia, you should be. I can understand how you wouldn’t be, though. I wasn’t, either, until a few days ago. There seems to be almost a blackout of mainstream press coverage of this story, which is a shame because people need to know about what went on in his “health clinic” and what he’s done. Abortion is a judgment of God on America. May He have mercy on us.

Joe Carter has written an excellent piece called “9 Things You Need to Know about the Gosnell Infanticide and Murder Trial.” Please read it. There is also a video done in documentary style called 3801 Lancaster that is included in Carter’s post. Please watch it, but before you do you need to know it’s disturbing.

I had the privilege this morning of preaching on Genesis 23 (“The Death of a Faithful Woman”). Here is a summary of my sermon in one sentence: Sarah lived by faith and died in faith, and Abraham demonstrated that he lived by faith by the way he negotiated for Sarah’s grave site.
