R.C. Sproul,, in discussing his book Everyone is a Theologian, made this point:
Everyone is a theologian. The question is whether or not we are a good theologian or a bad one. But what is more important, he says, is what we do with what we know. God has given us His Word – the Bible – so that we’ll know what to believe and how to behave. Our problem is that we can know the truth and not do it. But we can’t do the truth unless we know the truth. Knowing the truth is where a working knowledge of theology comes in. It takes a lot of work, but it’s worth it!
