Month in Review

In April…

We celebrated the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ at Cross Creek Bible Church. He is risen! He is risen, indeed!

read My God Is True by Paul Wolfe. The subtitle sums up the book very well: “Lessons Learned Along Cancer’s Dark Road.” I can’t recommend this book highly enough. Please read it and give it to someone else.

We attended a thank-you banquet for The Gideons (a tremendous organization). May God bless their efforts mightily!

read The Bruised Reed by Richard Sibbes. A fantastic and very encouraging book based on Isaiah 42:3.

read The Ten Commandments by Dennis Prager. His subtitle is right: “Still the Best Moral Code.”

read Worldliness, a book edited by C.J. Mahaney on resisting the seductions of the world (one of the three enemies of the Christian – the other being the flesh and the devil).

We tried out several recipes for slow-cooking in our crock pot (which we haven’t used in a while). They both turned out pretty well.

continued to preach through the Gospel of John during our Sunday worship services, and teach the adult Sunday School class on “Issues Facing the American Church” at Cross Creek Bible Church.

All in all, a quiet, normal month.
